WWE releases Yoshihiro Tajiri

The WWE announced on their website that veteran Japanese wrestler Yoshihiro Tajiri has asked for and received his released. The announcement was removed from the site because Tajiri will make his final appearance on this Monday's RAW. Tajiri recently signed a three year contract renewal with the WWE. Last week he wrote in a Japanese newspaper that he was burnt out with the travel schedule and still upset about Eddie Guerrero's death. Tajiri has a young family in Japan and wants to spend more time with them. He has also expressed interest in the past of becoming a journalist and I expect him to pursue that. He has a 90 day non compete clause but it's not yet known if he plans to remain an active wrestler. Tajiri became a star in North America while he was in ECW. After ECW went under, Paul Heyman recommended him for the WWE. He's a very good wrestler with martial arts moves and his signature Tarantula hold. He's been stuck in RAW's midcard mainly because of his lack of size but he's a very reliable guy and that's why the WWE re-signed him. You know that Tajiri is a veteran and will always give a good performance. The WWE will miss him because they do have to have good solid guys in the midcard. A lot of the younger guys don't cut it. I wish all the best to Yoshihiro Tajiri with whatever he does in the future. He was always entertaining and I'll miss seeing him on TV.
