It seems awfully silly today but this was a very controversial song back in the 50s. Hank Ballard was one of the most underrated singers of his era mainly because he like to write about sex. But don't feel sorry for him. When Dick Clark had Chubby Checker imitate Ballard on The Twist, Ballard would make enough money for writing The Twist to retire. But he never did because he enjoyed performing. Ballard was one of the all time greats of rock & roll. He died in 2003.
