If Curtis Mayfield had only led The Impressions with Jerry Butler, that would be enough to make him one of the all time greats of R & B. But he went solo in 1970 and Move On Up was from his first solo album Curtis. This 2CD comp Anthology covers Mayfield's entire career and is a must for R & B fans. Curtis was paralyzed in 1989 when a light standard fell on him while on stage. He continued to record until his death in 1999.
So I was having trouble with the blog yesterday so I upgraded to the new Blogger Beta blog. The main thing they've done is make it a lot easier to change the template and especially the colour scheme of the blog. You used to have to monkey around with the html to change colours. Not anymore. One click and anything can be changed. So that's what I've done and I'm also going to give you a pic of the album cover of the song of the day and I may do some other things to make the blog more interseting. Hope you like it.
