Meiko Satomura to return in October

Sendai Girls held a press conference yesterday to announce that Meiko Satomura will return to the ring on the Oct. 26 Zepp Sendai show. Satomura has been out with a broken eye socket suffered in a match with Azumi Hyuga last October. There was obviously more to it than that or she wouldn't have been out this long. Satomura said she had three operations and a plate was inserted under her eyeball in the third operation. Her doctor OKd her return a couple of weeks ago. You'll notice she's still wearing an eyepatch. Satomura said she's been itching to return and will begin sparring immediately. She's also planning to go to Thailand in September to work on her Muay Thai skills. They had a Q & A session at the press conference. She said she's a little uneasy returning to the ring but she's not seeing double anymore so she'll be fine. Satomura & Jinsei Shinzaki said that not only have they not determined who her opponent will be on Oct. 26, they haven't decided what type of match it will be. Satomura said she has no hard feelings toward Azumi Hyuga about the injury. It doesn't mean she doesn't want to wrestle her but it was an accident. Hyuga is also scheduled to return from her knee injury in October. Satomura said she was very happy with the performance of the Sendai Girls youngsters in her absense. But she's very happy to join them in the ring again. But she'll only be really happy when Tyrannosaurus Okuda returns from her shoulder surgery. I'm sure joshi fans worldwide are very happy that Meiko Satomura is returning to the ring.
