Sarah Kaufman signs with PFC

Palace Fighting Championships owner Christian Printup announced today that Sarah Kaufman has signed a three fight deal with the California based company. Her first fight is scheduled for May 19. Sarah is from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Her record is 7-0, all TKO's. Her most recent win was over Molly Helsel at the Mar. 29, 2008 Hardcore Championship Fighting show in Gatineau, Quebec. Sarah also has wins over Ginele Marquez, Valerie Letourneau, Alexis Davis & Liz Posener. Sarah has had a lot of tough luck. Just when it looked like HCF was going to be her home promotion, they closed last spring. Then Sarah signed with EliteXC and was scheduled to make her debut against Kaitlin Young on Nov. 8 when EliteXC closed. The EliteXC situation has yet to be clarified and the only question is Sarah's contract status. Supposedly the EliteXC contracts are personal services contracts and not transferrable. There are differing legal opinions but we're starting to see fighters sign with other companies. There were rumours before Christmas that a deal had been closed for the EliteXC assets so we're all waiting. By May 19 it should be cleared up and Sarah Kaufman will make her long overdue US debut for someone. I don't really care who it is.
