JEWELS has been forced to make some changes to the 48kg ROUGH STONE tournament that will begin on the Sept. 13 Shinjuku FACE show. The changes are because of an injury to the fighter MIYOKO. There will be three fighters in the tournament. Kikuyo Ishikawa will get a bye into the final but she will have a 52kg match against ASAKO. Ishikawa is freelance and won her debut over Sumie Yamada on the Nov. 16 JEWELS show. ASAKO trains at U-FILE and is making her MMA debut. The 48kg tournament match will have Asami Kodera against Fuuka Misaki. Kodera trains at Redips Purebred in Kawaguchi. Her record is 3-3 and her last fight was a win over Yukiko Seki on the July 12 JEWELS show. Fuuka Misaki is the fighter formerly known as Shinsaki Ozawa. She trains at Zendokai in Matsumoto. Her record is 0-3 and her last loss was to Mika Nagano on the May 16 JEWELS show. And the picture is German fighter Alexandra Sanchez upon her arrival in Japan. She's the sacrificial gaijin...er...opponent for Shizuka Sugiyama on Sunday's show.
