Strikeforce announced today that 135lb fighter Kerry Vera has signed a four fight deal and could debut in November. Kerry is married to UFC light heavyweight Brandon Vera. She is a veteran kickboxer and made her MMA debut on the May 15 Bellator show with a win over Leslie Smith. She looked good in that fight. But Bellator has plans for a 125lb tournament so Strikeforce is probably a better fit for Kerry. She trains with her husband at Alliance in Chula Vista, CA. Strikeforce also announced that the planned 135lb and 145lb tournaments will likely begin in early 2010.
