JEWELS adds two matches to Dec. 11 show

JEWELS held a press conference today at the DEEP gym to announce a couple of matches have been added to their Dec. 11 Shinjuku FACE show. As we all know, the finals of the ROUGH STONE tournaments will be on the show. In the 60kg final, Alexandra Sanchez will face Tomoko Morii. in the 54kg final, Mika Nagano will face Yuko Kagoshima. And in the 48kg final, Asami Kodera will face Kikuyo Ishikawa. They also announced that both Saori Ishioka and Shizuka Sugiyama will appear on the show against opponents to be announced. But the most interesting thing is matchmaker Shigeru Saeki is bringing in a couple of fighters returning to MMA after doing other things. In a 48kg match Akiko Inoue will face Fuuka Misaki. Inoue's record is 2-6 and her most recent fight was a loss to Kayo Nagayasu on the Feb. 24, 2006 G-Shooto show. She now trains at PUREBRED but started out as a pro wrestler for the now defunct JD Star in 2003. She was known more as an idol than a fighter and did DVDs and photo books. She also participated in Tae Kwan Do at the 2006 Olympics. She got married and had a baby in Sept. 2008. That's him in the pic with mommy. She's also done some modelling. Now she's decided to try fighting again. Fuuka Misaki is the new ring name for Misaki Ozawa. She trains at the Matsumoto branch of Zendokai. Her record is 0-4 and her last loss was to Asami Kodera on the Sept. 13, JEWELS show. In another 48kg match, Yoko Yamada will face MIYOKO. MIYOKO trains at Grabaka and will be making her MMA debut. Yamada trains at PUREBRED and has a 5-1 MMA record. Her last fight was a win over Nanachanchin at the June 15, 2008 DEEP show. Yoko is actually an arm wrestling champ in Japan. She does a lot of modelling and ring girl work. Pro wrestling is her first love but she's a very tiny girl and is way too small. Last year she worked for Mariko Yoshida's Ibuki pro wrestling company. She left about a year ago. So now she wants to try MMA again. We'll see how these two do in their returns to MMA.
