VALKYRIE held a press conference today to announce the card for their Feb. 11 Differ Ariake show. GCM president Yutaka Kubo announced the long time limited ground and pound rules will be rescinded at this event. This is long overdue and indicates that JEWELS may do the same thing. The main event of this show will have Yuka Tsuji defending the VALKYRIE Featherweight (52.2kg) Championship against V1. This bout was postponed due to Tsuji suffering an injury while training. Tsuji has been one of Japan's top fighters for several years. She trains at Angura and her record is 22-1. Her last win was over Kate Martinez on the Apr. 25 VALKYRIE show. V1 won this title shot with a win over Kyoko Takabayashi on the July 12 CAGE FORCE/VALKYRIE show. She trains at Max Jiu Jitsu and her record is 5-2.
