VV Mei wins over WINDY Tomomi

VV Mei pounds WINDY Tomomi
At today's PANCRASE show at Differ Ariake, VALKYRIE Featherweight Champion VV Mei won a unanimous decision in the very first women's main event in PANCRASE history. I wish the Japanese companies would run three round fights as two rounds tends to set up a draw if the match is close. Not surprisingly, WINDY came out swinging but Mei countered and went for a takedown. She controlled the remainder of round one and applied a rear naked choke and then a cross arm breaker to end the round. It appears that WINDY may have been saved by the bell. WINDY did better in the second round. Mei took her down but they got up and exchanged knees. It looks like a knee to the face may have broken Mei's nose. But Mei came back and took WINDY down and pounded her. Mei won by majority decision. The judges scored it 20-19, 20-18 and 20-20 in Mei's favour. Also both fighters were awarded 50000 yen for best bout. It looks like the match went over well.
