Review of The Ultimate Fighter 18 episode 3

Here is the video of last night's episode of The Ultimate Fighter 18. After Julianna Pena's big upset win on last week's episode, we get a better idea of her behaviour in the house. Before the show started airing, I had heard through the grapevine that Julianna was the most annoying person in the house. The first thing is she starts talking in a phony British accent. She said in an interview with SB Nation that she may have been drunk at the time. This annoyed some of the guys enough that Team Tate teammate Cody Bollinger decided to make up some nonsense about Julianna revealing possible future matchups to the other team. Jessamyn Duke and Raquel Pennington were joking about that but Bollinger decided to use that to stick it to Julianna. He confronts her with it and she denies it. When he presses, she says maybe Roxanne Modafferi did it. Of course no one bought that and she apologized to Roxy later. But all Bollinger wanted to do was make her squirm for being annoying. That was very successful. This week's match is Chris Holdsworth of Team Tate vs Chris Beal of Team Rousey. Before the fight, Julianna sent Holdsworth a mushy letter. She said she did this because he was nice to her. She didn't know the guys read the letter and made fun of her and that was filmed and shown on the show. This is the same person who said she was all business last week and now she wants to hook up. I was asked about this on Twitter last night and my response is Julianna is not a rocket scientist. Obviously the letter was stupid and I hope she doesn't do that again. But I wouldn't be surprised if she does. Then everyone goes to the Red Rock Casino to watch the UFC Brazil show. Ronda Rousey goes to the bar and steps between Miesha Tate and boyfriend Bryan Caraway and starts yelling at him. Miesha steps in and says that Ronda doesn't know how to punch. Ronda's striking coach Edmond Traverdyan gets involved. I can certainly understand his annoyance. He tells Miesha that Ronda will break her arm again. But he also tells Caraway there are too many cameras around but someday he will get him. Wisely, Caraway says nothing. But I can assure you there will be more of this probably next week. So then we get to the fight. Holdsworth is a BJJ guy and Beal is a striker. But Beal hurt his right hand during the qualifying match. He never gets going in the fight. Holdsworth drops him and then submits him with a guillotine choke. Team Tate still has the advantage and Miesha chooses Roxanne Modafferi vs Jessica Rakoczy. Roxanne is a veteran who has lived in Japan for the last few years. She has been a good fighter but her recent record is not good. Jessica is a championship boxer trying to convert to MMA with less than stellar results. And Jessica has a bum shoulder. Both need a win. All that and more drama in the house. Check out the video if you didn't see it last night.
