It was announced on last night's episode of UFC Tonight that Sara McMann vs Jessica Eye has been added to UFC Fight Night 88 May 29 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. This will air on Fox Sports 1 in the US and on TSN in Canada. Both fighters will try to stop a losing skid. Sara was a Silver medallist in Wrestling at the 2004 Olympics. So she obviously has the ability to be an elite MMA fighter. But she lacks the mental attitude and especially a killer instinct. This was clear when she lost to Miesha Tate last year. Sara had Miesha in trouble in round one when she broke Miesha's orbital bone. But instead of finishing her, Sara sat on her and Miesha came back to win. Miesha is now the champ and Sara could be on a one way trip to Palookaville. She lost her last fight to Amanda Nunes by a first round submission. Jessica could have been in the title picture with a win over Miesha last summer. But Jessica's lack of ground skills was exploited by Miesha and then two months later Julianna Pena used the same strategy to beat Jessica. So both fighters have serious flaws and now they're in the same boat to Palookaville if someone doesn't plug the leak in that boat. This fight could be for a UFC roster spot.
