The UFC announced today that Lauren Mueller vs Shana Dobson has been added to UFC on FOX 29 Apr. 14 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ. This will be a Flyweight bout. Technically, Lauren is making her UFC debut. But she earned a UFC contract on the Aug. 29 Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series. She looked great winning by unanimous decision over former Invicta fighter Kelly McGill-Velasco. And Lauren came in as a late replacement. Lauren is 26 years old from San Diego. She trains at San Diego Fight Club. Her record is 4-0. Her first three fights were for Gladiator Challenge. Up to now she has fought at Bantamweight. I seem to recall she's small for Bantamweight. She could be a beast at Flyweight. Shana was in TUF 26. Most of the fighters on that show weren't very good. But she won her UFC debut over Ariel Beck on the TUF 26 Finale. Ariel may have been the worst fighter on the show. Shana is 28 years old from Fort Worth, TX. Her record is 3-1. Based on what I have seen from these two, Shana will have her hands full.
